Review: AHAVA Cream Body Wash

Products: AHAVA Mineral Botanic Cream Body Wash- Hibiscus & Fig

Claims to use natural minerals and salts for the Dead Sea for therapeutic powers and cosmetic benefits.

Price: $23 USD for 17oz.

Performance: Uhhh, hello silk in a bottle 🙂 Ya’ll I didn’t have any expectations for this product, I mean I had heard of AHAVA but was never really interested. So when I got in the shower and poured some on my loofah, I was shocked by the amount of  lather and suds this product made, a very pleasant surprise. Furthermore, as I started to loofah away, the smooth and silky feeling was awesome, so awesome that I actually giggled because I was so surprised about how nice the cream wash felt on my skin. As an added bonus, since a small amount really does go a long way, one squirt of product lasted my whole shower.

Benefits: I am not a fan of summer because it is wretched for my skin. Due to high temperatures (it is a 112F in Cali where I live, today) and sun exposure, I always get mild heat rashes, discoloration on my face and just overall irritated skin. What the AHAVA did right after the first use, was calm my skin and sooth the irritations. Within a few days, I saw  my skin kinda clear up and look refreshed.

Overall: I would recommend this product for people with sensitive or dry skin. Designed specifically for dry skin, I can see how this product can be moisturizing and soothing, but on my normal/combo skin, while it helped calm my skin, it didn’t do much for moisturizing. And although the product does have a very nice slightly floral smell, it does not linger on the skin very long, which can be a plus for people who have skin allergies to added oils and scents.

Would I buy it again? For the summer I definitely would just because it is so gentle and light weight, but for winter I would definitely opt for a more moisturizing body wash.

Saw it, tried it, NAILED it! Tattooed Nail Art :)

So for the past week I have been rocking pure white nails. Kinda tired of the lack of color on my nails, I found a video online that shared this idea and BADABING!  A quick way to spruce up my plain white nails 🙂

What you will need:

  • White Nail polish
  • Clear Nail Polish
  • Press on Tattoo
  • Scissors
  • Cotton Pad
  • Water
  1. Paint you nails white.
  2. Pick a tattoo design that you like. I had these laying around but they also sell them at the  dollar store.
  3. Cut the design of your choosing into smaller pieces to fit your nails. Mix and match you choose.
  4. Press on nail and hold down with wet cotton pad for a few seconds.
  5. Peel off and TADA look how easy and pretty 🙂

Quick tips and tricks:

Apply a top coat to seal in design

Excess tattoo can simply be pulled off or even rubbed off

Tattoo sticks best to slightly tacky polish so just before nails are all dry, apply tattoo and embed it into the polish.

Smashbox Beauty Exposed Kit……DUPES!!!

” O_o, that looks pretty… yum that smells nice…. ahhh shinny glitter, drool, MUST have!”

Every time I walk into a store/drugstore that sells makeup, I feel like a kid in a candy store 🙂 I love beauty products!!!! Lotions, masks, makeup, perfumes … anything remotely beauty related, I’ve GOT to have it!

Same situation when I walked into ULTA and bought the Smashbox Beauty Exposed Kit. I saw it, I wanted it, I bought. Mission accomplished 🙂

What’s included:

  • PHOTO FINISH FOUNDATION PRIMER (travel size)

This is one of my favorite face primers, so the fact that it was included in the kit was a selling point enough for me.

  • BEAUTY EXPOSED EYE SHADOW PALETTE WITH SOFT LIGHTS

Such gorgeous colors! They look okay in the palette, but when you wear them they give such a nice frosty pearlescent effect.

  • LIP ENHANCING GLOSS in STARFRUIT (travel size)

Nothing really special but a nice color anyways

  • BLUSH RUSH in PEONY

Once again a nice coral/pink color. A little chalky but a nice color anyways.

  • EYE PENCIL in STONE

Dark brown liner pencil. I liked that it was very easy to apply and I think its best suited for a smudged smokey look.

(bottom is Smashbox in stone, top is Wet N’ Wild in Dark Brown. Both are very similar, although the picture is showing the top one to be more reddish.)

Overall: if you have the $39 USD  to spend, do it. It’s a nice kit, nice products, nothing too flashy, but great quality.

HOWEVER!!!! All the products are dupeable!!!!!

The eyeshadows are very similar to Covergirl’s Shimmering Sands

the lip gloss is  similar to Wet N’ Wild Mega Slick in Panning for Gold/Candy Apple

The eyeliner is very  similar to Wet N’ Wild’s dark Brown eyeliner and the blush is comparable to ELF’s Twinkle Pink

So it’s up to you, pay $39 or for about 1/4 of the price get basically the same thing 🙂
