MASSIVE $255 MAKEUP HAUL!!!!

Oh dear lord, what have I done!!! Yes, you read right, my dumb butt just bought $255 worth of makeup. WHAT!!! But to save face, I swear it wasn’t ALL my fault. The evil lady at ULTA, distracted me with her caked on makeup and spiderlashes and fooled me into buying stuff I didn’t even need:)

I went in originally to buy some higher end products for my lovely mother. It’s her birthday in a few days, and gosh darnit, the woman deserves some pretty products as well. However, I got selfish. Whoops. If you’ve been to ULTA then you know that they sell higher end products on one side and drugstore products on the other. So jee, hmmm where do you think I ended up? Yup!

I practically skipped to checkout line thinking I had done fairly well, but when the handsome man behind the counter said ” That will be $255″ I literally passed out. Seriously, my evil sister who I only see every other month and had egged me on to buying half the stuff, literally had to grab my hand, cause I was seeing stars before my eyes.

Sighhh……so what does one get with that much money? Not much.

Ladies, ladies, ladies. Luckily ULTA has a really good return policy, because there is no way I could live with myself if I spent 1/3 of my rent money on MAKEUP! I mean I love cosmetics, but I love a roof above my head more 🙂 And, yes some of you may be thinking, why didn’t I just return some products then? Well, soorrry,I got I selfish again. I thought it would make for some reviews, so be prepared 🙂

Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Roller

So if you read my previous post, then you know about the ridiculous amount of money I spent on a recent makeup haul. However, I did find some really nice products, so lets just get into.

Packaging: The Garnier Roller comes in a roll on form (duh 🙂 ).  The container is the size of a mascara tube and feels like a medium-sized maker. The cap  is a screw on top and the roller itself is metallic and feels very nice and cool on the skin. The product  is a beige salmon color (great to counteract the bluishness of dark circles) and is very liquidy in formula.

Product: The product can be directly applied under the skin and then blended in with your fingers or brush. Because it is very light and liquidy, it takes a few seconds for the product to dry and sink in. I purchased the sheer tint roller and like its name it gives a very light and sheer coverage. Like promised on the packaging, the product is very moisturizing and non-greasy.

Pricing: Heres the kicker $7-15 USD depending on where you get it

Overall: I think I really like this product 🙂 Mind you, I don’t have huge dark circles, but because my cheeks are so chubby, I do have a slight shadow, which can give the appearance of dark circles. However, after I put this product on, it gave such a nice effect. It brightened up my under eye area and made me look wide awake and alert. The light formula blended in very nicely, but the only complaint that I have is  I have this lines under my eyes and the product got stuck between the lines. No, they’re not crows feet, but rather deeper lines and although not obvious to others, to me, I could notice the product settling in between the lines. Also, the effect didn’t last me an entire work day, but it looked nice until lunch, but hen again, touch ups are really easy since the product is so easy to travel with.

I would recommend this product if you are looking for some quick under eye brightening that makes you look awake and alert. There is another version of this product that is designed specifically for dark circles, that may be better if you are looking for actual coverage, because this is more of a highlighter and brightener.

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

WARNING: This product contains alcohol which has shown to deplete collagen in the skin. So if you have mature skin and are worried about collagen depletion, becareful when using this product. Use it every other day instead of daily.
